Description

EDYZOLID (WFI) Dry Syrup is used for:

• Treatment of certain serious bacterial infections
• Certain respiratory tract bacterial infections
• Certain skin and soft-tissue bacterial infections
• Infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive bacteria
• Treatment of specific resistant bacterial infections when prescribed

How It Works

Linezolid is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, preventing susceptible bacteria from growing and multiplying.

Dosage

• Use only as prescribed by a doctor.
• The dose depends on the patient’s age, weight, infection, and medical condition.
• Prepare the dry syrup with the supplied water exactly as directed on the label.
• Shake well before each use.
• Measure the prescribed dose using an appropriate measuring device.
• Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.

• Prescription antibiotic; use only under medical supervision.
• Do not use for viral infections such as common cold or flu.
• Prolonged treatment may require medical monitoring, including blood counts.
• Inform the doctor about other medicines being taken because linezolid can interact with certain medicines.
