Description

FEBOHEM-40 Tablets is used for:

• Management of high uric acid levels in the blood
• Long-term management of chronic gout
• Prevention of uric acid crystal formation
• Reduction of uric acid levels in patients with gout
• Management of hyperuricemia as prescribed by a physician

How It Works

Febuxostat is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor that reduces the body’s production of uric acid. Lower uric acid levels help prevent the formation and accumulation of urate crystals associated with gout.

Dosage

• Take only as directed by the physician.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• Take with or without food as advised.
• Continue treatment regularly even when gout symptoms are not present, unless your doctor advises otherwise.

Note

• Gout attacks may temporarily increase when treatment is started.
• May cause nausea, headache, joint pain, or abnormal liver-function tests.
• Inform your doctor if you have heart disease, liver disease, or kidney problems.
• Regular monitoring of uric acid and liver function may be recommended.
• Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place.
