Description

NITOCLAV-DUO (WFI) Dry Syrup is used for:

• Treatment of certain bacterial infections
• Respiratory tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria
• Ear, nose, and throat bacterial infections
• Certain urinary tract infections
• Certain skin and soft-tissue infections
• Dental infections when prescribed

How It Works

• Amoxycillin: A penicillin-type antibiotic that interferes with bacterial cell-wall formation, helping eliminate susceptible bacteria.
• Potassium Clavulanate: Inhibits certain β-lactamase enzymes produced by bacteria, helping protect amoxycillin from bacterial resistance.

Dosage

• Use only as prescribed by a doctor.
• The dose depends on the patient’s age, weight, infection, and medical condition.
• Prepare the dry syrup with the supplied water exactly as directed on the label.
• Shake well before each use.
• Measure the prescribed dose using a suitable measuring device.
• Complete the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve.

Note

• Prescription antibiotic; use only under medical supervision.
• Not effective against viral infections such as the common cold or flu.
• Take with food if advised, particularly if stomach upset occurs.
• Inform the doctor about any history of penicillin or cephalosporin allergy.
• Seek medical attention for severe allergic reactions or persistent/severe diarrhea.
• Keep out of reach of children.
