Description

NITOFLOX-MS Suspension is used for:

• Treatment of certain bacterial and protozoal gastrointestinal infections when prescribed
• Supporting management of infectious diarrhea and dysentery
• Relief of gastrointestinal symptoms associated with susceptible infections
• Helping manage abdominal discomfort and bloating associated with gastrointestinal infections
• Supporting treatment of mixed bacterial and protozoal intestinal infections

How It Works

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial enzymes required for DNA replication and repair, helping stop the growth of susceptible bacteria.

Metronidazole Benzoate is converted to metronidazole in the body and acts against susceptible anaerobic bacteria and certain protozoa by damaging their DNA.

Simethicone helps reduce gas-related discomfort by allowing trapped gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract to combine and pass more easily.

Dosage

• Use only as directed by a physician or healthcare professional.
• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Measure the prescribed dose using an appropriate measuring device.
• Dosage depends on age, body weight, type of infection, and clinical condition.
• Complete the prescribed course unless advised otherwise.

Note

• This product should be used only for infections for which the combination has been prescribed.
• Ofloxacin and metronidazole do not treat viral infections such as the common cold or flu.
• Avoid alcohol during metronidazole treatment and for the period advised by your healthcare professional after the last dose.
• Inform your healthcare professional about other medicines and supplements you are taking.
• Seek medical advice for severe diarrhea, allergic reactions, unusual tendon/joint pain, or persistent symptoms.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Store according to the instructions mentioned on the product label.
