Description

NITOPOD-CV (WFI) Dry Syrup is used for:

• Treatment of certain bacterial infections
• Respiratory tract bacterial infections
• Ear, nose, and throat bacterial infections
• Certain urinary tract bacterial infections
• Certain skin and soft-tissue bacterial infections
• Other susceptible bacterial infections when prescribed

How It Works

• Cefpodoxime: A third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that interferes with bacterial cell-wall formation, helping stop the growth of susceptible bacteria.
• Potassium Clavulanate: Helps inhibit certain β-lactamase enzymes produced by bacteria, supporting the antibacterial activity of cefpodoxime against susceptible organisms.

Dosage

• Use only as prescribed by a doctor.
• The dose depends on the patient’s age, weight, infection, and medical condition.
• Prepare the dry syrup with the supplied water exactly as directed on the label.
• Shake well before each use.
• Measure the prescribed dose using a suitable measuring device.
• Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.

• Prescription antibiotic; use only under medical supervision.
• Not effective against viral infections such as the common cold or flu.
• Inform the doctor about any history of allergy to cephalosporins or penicillin antibiotics.
• Seek medical attention for severe allergic reactions or persistent/severe diarrhea.
