Description

PIRAZOID-T 4.5GM Injection is used for:

• Certain serious bacterial infections
• Lower respiratory tract infections
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Skin and soft-tissue infections
• Bacterial infections in hospitalized patients
• Other susceptible bacterial infections as prescribed

How It Works

Piperacillin is a penicillin-class antibiotic that interferes with bacterial cell-wall formation. Tazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that helps protect piperacillin from certain bacterial enzymes, supporting its antibacterial activity against susceptible bacteria.

Dosage

• Administer only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
• Dose and frequency depend on the type and severity of infection, age, body weight, and kidney function.
• Usually administered by the intravenous (IV) route as prescribed.
• Complete the prescribed course of treatment.
